What is a Health Check?
A Health Check report consist of a 10 point check list of issues, including:
- Membrane/Shingle condition check for basic integrity or seam failure
- Flashing condition check for wind damage or attachment failure
- Drainage condition check for restrictive blockage
- Sealant condition check for shrinkage or cohesive failure
- Hardware condition check for corrosion or attachment
- Adjoining components check for wall or other issues that could affect the roof
- Substrate condition check as assessed from the surface by feel
- State of cleanliness check for organic debris or tenant debris
- Physical abuse check for tenant or other abuse
- Animal damage check for bird/rodent/raccoon damage
- Provide comments & subsequent recommendations
The Health Check report can be provided to your maintenance staff as a guideline for repairs and maintenance that may be required to help ensure your new roof continues to perform at its highest potential for its life span.
